Outbound Trip via Air Freight in a Transport Box

Potential delivery points are Hamburg, Frankfurt, Cologne, Stuttgart and Munich. Upon request, retrieval and delivery of your transport at/to your premises can be agreed. Approx. 1 week prior to departure, your motorcycle will be dispatched.Thus, on-time arrival is guaranteed.
After customs clearance, executed by our client within approx. 3 to 5 hours, your motorcycle will be unpacked and off you go! The empy box will be stored or, in case of a one-way transport, left at the delivery point. Transport and clearance in Germany as well as fuel and security charges and fees for dangerous goods are included in our service.
The costs are based on the height of the transport box and amount to approx. € 1,800.00 for a standard touring enduro concerning your outbound trip. Please regard this as a rough price indication and inform us about your transport data for an exact calculation. Return transport from the U.S. via air freight is possible. Due to fairly high prices (approx. € 2,500.00), it is yet a rarely chosen option.

Outbound Trip via Sea Freight – except ro/ro Transport

According to our experience, we advise against this method since a longstanding processing at the destination can be expected. Upto 5 days must be taken into account as there is no preparation by a customs clearance agent provided. Furthermore, a price advantage is no longer existing due to incredibly high port charges in the US.
Drop-off is possible in Hamburg only. Upon request, retrieval of your transport box at your premises can be agreed. Depending on the destination, your motorcycle will be dispatched 3 to 5 weeks prior to departure. Thus, on-time arrival is guaranteed. The box will be loaded into a container in Hamburg, so it is protected against salt water.
After customs clearance, executed by our client within approx. 3 to 5 days, your motorcycle will be unpacked and off you go! The empy box will be stored or, in case of a one-way transport, left at the delivery point. Transport and clearance in Germany as well as fuel and security charges and fees for dangerous goods are included in our service.

Return Trip via Air Freight in a Transport Box

Please contact our forwarding agent a few days prior to return transport and agree a handing over of your vehicle. After your vacation, the motorcycle will be loaded into the transport box. Anything else will be organized by us here in Hamburg or by our partner at the destination. Return transport will take approx. 10 days. If the outbound trip has taken place without a box, a transport box can be organized at the destination. Our client must remove mirror and windscreen by himself since our forwarding agent takes charge of the motorcycle „as seen“. The transport price is primarily influenced by the dimensions of your motorcycle.
In any case, petrol must be discharged and batteries must be pinched off. In case of further restrictions, our forwarding agent will inform the deliverer. Depending on the state, this can be at short notice. Once arrived at a German airport, we will take charge of customs clearance and, if desired, delivery to your premises.

Besides current fuel and security charges and fees for dangerous goods, all airport charges as well as transport and customs clearance in the U.S. and Germany are included in our service.
Depending on currency rates and fuel surcharges, costs are strongly changing and amount to approx. € 2,800.00.

Return Trip via Sea Freight – ro/ro Transport

Please contact our forwarding agent a few days prior to return transport and agree a handing over of your vehicle. Drop-off for ro/ro transport can take place in Baltimore, Charleston, Brunswick and Galveston on the East Coast as well as Port Hueneme and Tacoma on the west coast. In any case, Bremerhaven will be your destination. Please consider approx. 3 to 5 weeks for you return transport. Loading and lashing will be executed by staff at the port, as with a car ferry. However, without any potential lift for passengers. Due to customs regulations, no further baggage is allowed. As the ships are completely closed, your motorcycle will be protected against salt water.
Costs depend on currency rates and fuel surcharges. They amount to approx. € 1,300.00 per motorcycle for transports to the east coast and approx. € 1,500.00 for transports to the west coast. Besides current fuel and security charges and fees for dangerous goods, all port charges as well as transport and customs clearance in the U.S. and Germany are included in our service.

Return Trip via Sea Freight – Collection Container for Vehicles

Please contact our forwarding agent a few days prior to return transport and agree a handing over of your vehicle. Drop-off concerning collection containers for vehicles can take place in Jacksonville and New York on the East Coast as well as Los Angeles on the west coast. The only potential destination is Bremerhaven. Please consider approx. 4 to 7 weeks for you return transport. Loading and lashing exclusively takes place in a closed container, so your vehicle is protected against salt water. In general, baggage may remain at your motorcycle. However, customs regulations at the port of departure are subject to change at any time.
Costs depend on currency rates and fuel surcharges. They amount to approx. € 1,200.00 per motorcycle for transports to the East Coast and approx. € 1,100.00 for transports to the west coast. Transport from Los Angeles is cheaper although the distance is longer. Besides current fuel and security charges and fees for dangerous goods, all port charges as well as transport and customs clearance in the U.S. and Germany are included in our service.

Transport Insurance

As an option, we offer a transport insurance against total loss and transport damage of your motorcycle. The premium amounts to 1.6% of the vehicle value, at least € 160.00. The damage must be visible from outside, retention comes to € 500.00 per claim. Paint damages and corrosion are excluded. It is possible to retrieve or deliver your motorcycle in a transport box via truck featuring lift and pallet cart or in a special motorcycle transporter to your premises.
