Motorcycle Transports to the U.S. - general Information (except Alaska)

Box self-made

Packaging
For transports to the United States, the motorcycle must be packed in one case. Just talk to your local motorcycle dealer - they are often happy when the overpack of new vehicles can be disposed free of charge. Best try your luck at one of the dealers of Italian or Japanese manufacturers. Alternatively, you can purchase a standard motorcycle box with us that can be delivered to your domicile. Another option is to pack your motorcycle at the port or airport by yourself. Further package can be stowed unless hazardous substances according to aviation regulations are involved (e.g. batteries/accumulators, methylated spirits, motor oil, aerosols). You will save hard cash if you keep your box as small as possible, e.g. by removing the front wheel. Here is some advice for appropriate packaging: Packaging
Our prices are calculated individually, so please inform us about length, width and height (please remove mirror!) as well as weight. Primarily, volume matters! The smaller the box, the cheaper the transportation costs! The options „RoRo transport as well as „Fly and Ride“ are calculated per motorcycle. These standards shall not apply for ro/ro transport via ship.
A trouble-free import and export in your country of destination is possible without a Carnet de Passage. Besides transportation via airplane, we also offer maritime transport. However, we advise against latter one for your outbound trip. Potential destinations are all international airports of the USA. You also have the option to book just a one-way transport or a multi-stop transport as well as: outbound trip via plane and return trip via ship or vice versa.

Outbound Trip via Sea Freight – except ro/ro Transport

According to our experience, we advise against this method since a longstanding processing at the destination can be expected. Upto 5 days must be taken into account as there is no preparation by a customs clearance agent provided. Furthermore, a price advantage is no longer existing due to incredibly high port charges in the US.
Drop-off is possible in Hamburg only. Upon request, retrieval of your transport box at your premises can be agreed. Depending on the destination, your motorcycle will be dispatched 3 to 5 weeks prior to departure. Thus, on-time arrival is guaranteed.
